Brad and I thought driving to Arizona after our trip to Disneyland would be a great idea - we would have a chance to see our old friends, the Richardsons, and the kids would get to see one of the great wonders of the world, the Grand Canyon. The only flaw in our plan was going on one of the coldest days on record -- it was FREEZING! It was also overcast and threatening rain, but we spent a few good hours riding the bus around the rim and learning more about this amazing sight. Finally we went back to the hotel and swam in the indoor pool - which, of course, was the kids' favorite part!
