We had our Wilkinson family camping trip at the cabin this year, and whenever we go to the cabin, we always find someplace to swim. We've been going to the Dutch Flat Pool since the beginning of time (Grandma swam there as a kid when it was just a dirt hole in the ground), and we always have a great time when we're there. However, as the kids have gotten older, they've come to love going to Yuba Gap Reservoir. It's a quiet little man made lake and they love feeling like they're swimming in the great outdoors. This year, Uncle John brought his canoe. which made for all the more fun! He even took them over to some gigantic rocks and let them jump off the highest peak into the water below (good thing I wasn't there - I would have been too nervous to let them!) It doesn't really matter what we're doing, getting away as a family and spending time together is the best vacation ever! By the way -- John, Shannon & Conner WERE there; I don't know why I don't have any pictures. . .
